CMPDI Invites Tender for 7 MW (AC) Solar Power Project with Ground and Floating Arrays in Maharashtra

The Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) has announced the invitation for online tenders for an extensive solar power project. Eligible bidders are required to submit their proposals on the official website, https://coalindiatenders.nic.in. Bidders must possess a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) issued by any agency authorized by the Controller of Certifying Authority (CCA), Government of India.

The project involves the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, fabrication, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of a grid-connected ground-mounted solar power plant with a capacity of 7 MW (AC). This includes a 5 MW ground-mounted unit and a 2 MW floating plant, both featuring a minimum of 40% DC overload capacity. The project will be executed in the Wani Area of the Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), located in Chandrapur district, Maharashtra.

The successful bidder will be responsible for all civil, structural, and electrical works, alongside the provision of necessary accessories and facilities to ensure the plant’s complete functionality. This includes obtaining power evacuation and connectivity approvals. Additionally, the contract covers the comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plant for a decade.

Work is expected to commence within 30 days from the issuance of the letter of acceptance and submission of performance security or seven days after the site is handed over for the first activity, whichever occurs later. The earnest money deposit for this tender is set at Rs. 44,72,129.

The total contract period spans 3922 days, with 270 days allocated for the construction, testing, and commissioning of the plant, and the remaining 3652 days dedicated to its comprehensive operation and maintenance. The estimated cost of the project, inclusive of GST, is Rs. 35,77,70,338. This significant investment underscores CMPDI’s commitment to advancing renewable energy infrastructure.

The bid submission deadline is July 4, 2024, at 5:00 PM, and the tender will be opened on July 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
