ACWA Power and LONGi marked a significant milestone on June 14th at the 17th International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Conference and Exhibition (SNEC) in Shanghai by signing a Framework Agreement for Global Energy Transformation. The ceremony, held at LONGi’s booth, brought together Bart Boesmans, Chief Technology Officer of ACWA Power, and Dennis She, Vice President of LONGi, underscoring their commitment to advancing renewable energy initiatives.

Established in 2004 and headquartered in Saudi Arabia, ACWA Power stands as the worldโ€™s largest private water desalination company and a leader in energy transition. The company boasts a robust presence with over 4,000 employees and operates 84 projects across 13 countries spanning the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia. ACWA Power’s portfolio includes significant investments totaling more than $87.9 billion, encompassing 57.071 gigawatts (GW) of installed power capacity and a desalination capacity of 8.044 million tons per day.

LONGi, renowned for its dedication to advancing solar energy solutions, focuses on technological innovation across monocrystalline wafers, cells, modules, distributed generation solar solutions, utility plant system solutions, and hydrogen equipment solutions. Positioned as a provider of Green Power + Green Hydrogen solutions, LONGi is pivotal in supporting global efforts towards achieving zero-carbon emissions.
