ITI Limited, a leading telecom equipment manufacturer and solution provider under the Department of Telecommunication, has announced a call for Expression of Interest (EOI) for the empanelment of agencies. The project involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar power plants under a CAPEX model. This initiative aims to install an estimated 200 MW capacity across various government buildings in Bihar.
The EOI, under reference number ITI/NAINI/TS/BREDA/SPP/01, dated June 15, 2024, seeks to identify executing agencies capable of handling the comprehensive operation and maintenance of these solar installations for a period of five years. This move is part of ITI Limitedโs broader diversification strategy into the solar energy sector, leveraging its state-of-the-art solar module manufacturing facilities.
The project, spearheaded by the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA), encompasses the installation of solar power systems ranging from 1 kWp to 500 kWp on government buildings. Agencies interested in bidding must meet stringent eligibility criteria, including a minimum quoted capacity of 10 MW and an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs. 1 crore. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate a positive net worth, a minimum average annual turnover of Rs. 10 crore over the past three financial years, and relevant experience in solar power projects.
The bid submission deadline is June 19, 2024, at 3:00 PM. The technical bid opening will take place on the same day at 4:00 PM, followed by the financial bid opening at 6:00 PM.
