The National Energy Commission (CNE) of the Dominican Republic has officially granted the definitive concession for the Ardavín Solar project. The project, boasting a capacity of 101.6 MWp and 83.4 MWn, is set to be located in the municipality of Gaspar Hernández, within the province of Espaillat. It will feature a storage capacity of 27.5 MW and 110 MWh.
The concession contract was signed by Edward Veras Díaz, the executive director of the CNE, and César Augusto Santos Sánchez, the representative of the concessionaire company, Ardavín Solar.
In addition to this significant development, the 64.70 MWp La Victoria photovoltaic park was inaugurated this week. Situated in the municipality of Santo Domingo Norte, this project was developed by BAS Corporation and Dominion, with an investment of approximately $82 million.
