Johor Corporation Partners with KAB to Enhance SES Development, Focusing on Data Centres and Other Key Areas

Kinergy Advancement Berhad (KAB), also known as the One-Stop Sustainable Energy & Engineering Solutions Specialist, has announced a strategic collaboration with Johor Corporation (JCorp), the principal development institution driving economic growth in Johor state. This partnership formalizes KAB as JCorp’s partner in advancing Malaysia’s sustainable energy landscape, focusing on customized Energy Efficient (EE) projects for data centres, Renewable Energy (RE), and Clean Energy (CE) initiatives.

KAB, through its wholly-owned subsidiary KAB Energy Holdings Sdn Bhd (KABEH), will leverage its expertise to provide energy efficiency solutions, particularly in developing district cooling systems to reduce data centres’ overall energy consumption and enhance their Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). The company will also demonstrate its engineering capabilities through the EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) development of data centres and other energy-related facilities. KAB’s technical proficiency in RE and CE solutions will extend to other initiatives within JCorp.

The collaboration will also promote renewable energy export through Third-Party Access (TPA) Programmes or other renewable energy schemes, supplying RE to JCorp and its related businesses to support their sustainability goals.
