NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited and a Maharatna company under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) document. This RfS is aimed at selecting developers for setting up 100 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected wind-solar hybrid projects in India. The selection process will be carried out through tariff-based competitive bidding as part of a scheme that allows flexibility in the generation and scheduling of thermal and hydro power stations by bundling them with renewable energy and storage power, as notified by the Ministry of Power.
The bid process requires interested developers to pay a non-refundable processing fee of INR 5 lakh plus 18% GST. This fee can be submitted through NEFT/RTGS transfer to NVVN’s account or via a demand draft/pay order in favor of “NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited,” payable in New Delhi.
In addition, bidders must provide an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 12,26,000 (approximately 1.2 million) per MW per project. This amount must be submitted as a bank guarantee or payment on order instrument along with the response to the RfS.
The deadline for bid submission is July 18, 2024, at 5:00 PM, with the bid opening scheduled for July 19, 2024, at 3:00 PM. This initiative is part of NVVN’s ongoing efforts to enhance renewable energy capacity and promote sustainable energy practices in India.
