Juniper Green Energy has announced the signing of two significant Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for hybrid renewable energy projects totaling 480 MW capacity. The projects include:
GUVNL Hybrid Phase 1: In collaboration with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), this initiative features 190 MW of hybrid capacity (140 MW solar and 50 MW wind) in Gujarat. It is expected to generate 412 million units (MUs) of electricity annually, offsetting 384,067 tonnes of CO2 emissions. The clean energy produced will cater to 82,016 households.
NTPC Hybrid Tranche -1: Juniper Green Energy’s largest project to date, in partnership with NTPC Limited, comprises 290 MW of hybrid capacity (210 MW solar and 80 MW wind) spread across Gujarat and Maharashtra. This project is projected to generate 633 MUs annually, reducing carbon emissions by 590,810 tonnes and providing power to 126,165 households.
Mr. Naresh Mansukhani, CEO of Juniper Green Energy, emphasized that these partnerships with GUVNL and NTPC are not just contractual agreements but milestones in advancing hybrid energy solutions.
