MSpectrum and Citizen Finedevice Collaborate on Solar Project Launch

MSpectrum Inc., the fully owned solar subsidiary of the Manila Electric Company (Meralco), has successfully energized the solar rooftop facility of Japanese manufacturer Citizen Finedevice Philippines Corp. in Sto. Tomas, Batangas. The collaboration marks a significant milestone in both companiesโ€™ commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

The solar project was officially inaugurated by key officials from both companies, including MSpectrum President and CEO Ma. Cecilia M. Domingo, MSpectrum Chairman Ferdinand O. Geluz, Citizen Finedevice President Tomoya Koyama, and Citizen Finedevice Administration General Manager Shunichi Kozu.

The newly launched 726 kilowatt-peak (kWp) solar facility is expected to generate approximately 1.055 GWh of clean energy annually. This initiative is a part of Citizen Finedevice’s ongoing efforts to minimize its environmental impact and bolster its sustainability strategy.

Through this cutting-edge solar installation, Citizen Finedevice is projected to reduce its carbon footprint by an estimated 751 metric tons per year. This reduction is equivalent to planting over 34,500 trees and cutting down more than 1.8 million kilometers of vehicle travel annually.

Citizen Finedevice Philippines, known for producing precise metal machined components for various electronic devices, has expressed its dedication to integrating sustainability into its business operations.
