PT PLN (Persero) has entered into a significant collaboration with PT CT Corpora (CT Corp) to advance green energy initiatives within CT Corp’s business environment. The partnership formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Makassar, South Sulawesi, marks a key step in PLN’s commitment to supporting the industrial sector and businesses in achieving the Net Zero Emissions target by 2060 or sooner.
The MoU was signed by PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo and CT Corp Chairman & Founder Chairul Tanjung. The collaboration will focus on the development of electric vehicle infrastructure and the provision of clean energy services through renewable energy certificates (REC).
Darmawan Prasodjo emphasized that this partnership is a testament to PLN’s dedication to tackling climate change and promoting a green economy. “Our joint efforts aim to ensure a better future for generations to come. This collaboration is a cornerstone for aligning our goals and advancing the energy transition together,” he stated.
Chairul Tanjung highlighted CT Corp’s ongoing transformation towards greener operations, including the use of solar-based renewable energy at several Trans Studio Mall locations. The new partnership will also facilitate the installation of electric vehicle charging stations across CT Corp outlets nationwide.
Additionally, PLN’s subholding PLN Icon Plus will work with CT Corp on developing streaming content, telecommunications, and multimedia networks. This broader collaboration reflects PLN’s expansion beyond traditional electricity services, aiming to drive innovation and growth in various sectors.
The agreement underscores both companies’ commitment to sustainable development and their shared vision of contributing to a greener economy.
