Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL), a prominent player in the domestic renewable energy sector, has announced the acquisition of a significant new contract. The order entails the Engineering, Design, Testing, and Commissioning of a substantial 400 MW AC / 633 MW DC photovoltaic (PV) plant. Additionally, SWREL will be responsible for the Supply and Works related to a 33/220 kV switchyard at the project site in Rajasthan, India. The total contract value, including taxes, levies, and duties, is estimated at over INR 550 crore.

Amit Jain, Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, expressed enthusiasm about the new contract. “We are excited to secure another major domestic order from a leading private renewable Independent Power Producer (IPP) in India. The Indian renewable energy market is experiencing rapid growth, and as a well-established home-grown EPC provider, we are well-positioned to capitalize on this growth,” Jain commented.

With this latest contract, SWREL’s domestic order inflows for the second quarter of FY25 have reached approximately INR 900 crore. This follows an impressive INR 2,170 crore in order inflows during the first quarter. Jain further noted confidence in maintaining this upward trajectory, supported by a robust domestic bidding pipeline.
