Entergy and NextEra Energy Resources Partner to Develop Up to 4.5 GW of Solar and Energy Storage Projects

Entergy and NextEra Energy Resources LLC, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Inc., have announced a joint development agreement to accelerate the creation of up to 4.5 gigawatts (GW) of new solar generation and energy storage projects. This agreement marks a significant milestone in expanding Entergy’s renewable energy portfolio.

Rod West, Group President of Utility Operations for Entergy, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This joint development agreement will allow Entergy to provide our customers with low-cost, renewable energy as demand continues to grow across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.”

Rebecca Kujawa, President and CEO of NextEra Energy Resources, highlighted the importance of the collaboration, noting, “The power sector is at a pivotal moment, with growing electricity demand increasingly being met by low-cost, renewable generation and storage. We’re pleased to further strengthen our long-standing partnership with Entergy and add up to 4.5 GW on top of the more than 1.7 GW of renewable energy projects already in progress.”
