Naked Energy Appoints Chris Strange as Partnership Business Development Lead

Naked Energy, a British innovator in solar heat technology, has announced the appointment of Chris Strange as its new Partnership Business Development Lead. Strange brings over 20 years of experience in the energy efficiency and decarbonisation sector, having previously held senior roles at Honeywell, Schneider Electric, and Engie.

Strangeโ€™s appointment follows the successful first close of Naked Energyโ€™s Series B funding round, where the company secured ยฃ17 million from prominent investors E.ON and Barclays. This funding will support Naked Energy’s new partnership with E.ON and accelerate the global deployment of its Virtu solar heat and power product range.

Prior to joining Naked Energy, Strange served as the Decarbonisation Director at Mitie Energy for six years, where he was instrumental in developing multi-million-pound decarbonisation strategies for numerous blue-chip companies. His career includes significant experience in the industrial, health, and public sectors, with a track record of securing major sustainability contracts with globally recognized businesses.

Strangeโ€™s international expertise will be pivotal as Naked Energy continues its expansion with major installations across the UK, Europe, and the US, including projects with IHG Hotels & Resorts and other major hotel groups.
