In a significant step towards enhancing international energy cooperation, the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, T. Ibraev, and Turki Alhokair, General Director of the Saudi Arabian company FAS Energy, held a pivotal meeting. The discussions focused on exploring collaborative opportunities within the international energy sector, leveraging Kyrgyzstan’s energy potential, and jointly implementing modern technological projects.

During the meeting, the two leaders explored various avenues for cooperation, including the exchange of technological expertise and the development of joint projects aimed at harnessing Kyrgyzstan’s energy resources.

A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Minister Ibraev and Mr. Alhokair. This MoU marks a commitment to advance the use of solar energy in Kyrgyzstan. Specifically, the agreement outlines plans to install solar panels on the rooftops of state enterprises and buildings.

The signing ceremony was attended by key figures including Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ulukbek Maripov, alongside relevant officials from both countries. The event highlights a significant collaboration between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia, aiming to enhance sustainable energy solutions and technological integration.
