Invenergy Completes 10th Arizona Energy Storage Project, Expands Clean Energy Portfolio

Invenergy has completed the El Sol Energy Storage Center (50 MW), marking its 10th battery energy storage project in Arizona to achieve commercial operations since the beginning of 2023. This milestone is significant as Invenergy’s projects represent nearly half of all storage facilities that have come online in Arizona during this period. The company’s Arizona storage projects have generated millions of dollars in local investment, benefiting public schools, emergency services, and infrastructure. These projects include Desert Star, Paloma, Cotton Center, Gila Bend I & II, Hyder I & II, Foothills I & II, and El Sol. Invenergy is also developing additional solar and storage projects in the state, with the Yuma Solar Energy Center (70 MW) set to begin operations later this year and the Hashknife Solar Energy Center (275 MW) expected to start construction.
