Premier Energies has announced a significant contract with the Uttar Pradesh Department of Agriculture. The order involves the supply, installation, and commissioning of 8,085 solar water pumping systems across various districts in Uttar Pradesh. Valued at Rs. 215 Crores, the project is slated for completion by March 2025.

This endeavor falls under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) Scheme. The scheme is designed to enhance energy security for farmers in India and supports the nation’s commitment to increase the share of non-fossil-fuel power to 40% of installed capacity by 2030, in line with its Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs).

By integrating solar technology into agricultural practices, this initiative will not only improve water availability for farming but also contribute to reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable energy solutions across the country.
