The A.T. Yuchengco Centre, a 34-storey office tower in Bonifacio Global City, has announced a major shift toward environmental sustainability by transitioning to 100% renewable energy through a retail electricity supply agreement with ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions (ACEN RES), part of the Ayala group.
Under this agreement, ACEN RES will supply renewable energy from its vast portfolio, allowing A.T. Yuchengco Centre to avoid up to 32,337 metric tons of carbon emissions annually—equivalent to removing nearly 8,000 cars from the road. This aligns with the building’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact and contributing to the Philippines’ renewable energy goals.
The tower, which houses 25 office floors and retail spaces, will now operate on clean energy. Eric Francia, President and CEO of ACEN, emphasized the role of commercial real estate in the energy transition, expressing pride in supporting the building’s sustainability efforts. Lorenzo Tan, President of ATYC, Inc., highlighted that the initiative reflects the company’s dedication to providing a progressive, sustainable work environment for tenants while contributing to broader environmental goals.
