LMIRT Management Ltd., the manager of Lippo Malls Indonesia Retail Trust (LMIR Trust), has announced the expansion of on-grid photovoltaic solar power systems in partnership with PT Investasi Hijau Satu, a renewable energy company specializing in rooftop solar PV panels in Indonesia.

Under the agreement, solar panels will be installed at three LMIR Trust properties: Mal Lippo Cikarang (Second Phase), Lippo Plaza Kramat Jati, and Lippo Plaza Batu. This follows the success of the first phase at Mal Lippo Cikarang, furthering the Trust’s commitment to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.

Once commissioned by Q1 2025, the systems will have a combined installed capacity of 1.89 megawatts, generating over 2,572 megawatt hours annually. This initiative is expected to cut over 44,893 tonnes of carbon emissions over the project’s 25-year lifespan, equivalent to planting 7,380 trees.

James Liew, CEO of LMIR Trust, stated, “Installing solar panels not only lowers operational costs but also underscores our commitment to sustainable practices, creating long-term value for both stakeholders and the environment.”
