NTPC Mining has reported a stellar performance in the first half of FY 2024-25, producing over 19 million metric tonnes (MMT) of coal, marking a 20% year-on-year (YoY) growth. The company also dispatched 19.7 MMT of coal to NTPCโs power stations, reflecting a 16% increase compared to the previous fiscal year.
NTPC Coal Mining has consistently exceeded its production targets, solidifying its position as a leading player in the captive coal mining sector. To date, the company has produced over 123 MMT and dispatched more than 121 MMT of coal from its five operational captive mines, including Pakri Barwadih, Kerandari, Chatti Bariatu in Jharkhand, Dulanga in Odisha, and Talaipalli in Chhattisgarh. This has ensured a stable fuel supply for NTPCโs thermal power stations.
