Kundan Green Energy Boosts Hydropower Capacity with ₹75 Crore Luni Project in Himachal Pradesh, Reinforcing Commitment to Sustainable Energy

Kundan Green Energy announced the successful commissioning of its new hydropower plant located in Luni, Himachal Pradesh. The project, which was completed at a cost of approximately ₹75 crore, was awarded in September 2022 and highlights the company’s commitment to executing hydropower projects to the highest standards and within committed timeframes.

The Luni hydropower plant increases Kundan Green Energy’s operating hydropower capacity to 85 megawatts (MW). With the addition of existing solar and wind projects, the company’s total commissioned capacity now stands at 120.5 MW.

Kundan Green Energy has a robust portfolio, operating four hydropower plants in Sikkim, with three additional facilities currently under construction, further expanding its capacity.

Mr. Udit Garg, Director and CEO of Kundan Green Energy, expressed his satisfaction with the project’s completion. “With its commissioning in a record 24 months, we are delighted to present the Luni HEP project to the country. It demonstrates our commitment to speed, quality, technology, and teamwork, benchmarked to the world’s best.
