Luminous Power Technologies Expands Odisha Investments in Solar and Energy Storage, Showcases Solutions in Khordha

Luminous Power Technologies has reaffirmed its commitment to Odisha, highlighting the state as a key hub for solar manufacturing and renewable energy growth during a government event in Khordha.

The company showcased its advanced energy solutions portfolio while emphasizing its expanding manufacturing footprint in eastern India. Luminous is positioning Odisha as a strategic center for clean energy innovation, supported by favorable state policies, improving infrastructure, and rising adoption of renewable energy.

Speaking at the event, Vivek Abrol, CEO and Managing Director, stated that Odisha serves as both a manufacturing base and a gateway to India’s growing clean energy ecosystem. He added that continued investments in the state align with the company’s commitment to supporting national clean energy goals while contributing to regional economic development and energy infrastructure.

Luminous has made significant investments in Odisha, with two major projects currently in advanced stages. In Angul, the company is developing a next-generation energy storage and manufacturing facility focused on advanced technologies. Additionally, a solar cell manufacturing plant is being set up in Gopalpur to strengthen India’s domestic solar value chain.

At the Khordha event, Luminous presented its end-to-end solar solutions, including on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid systems catering to residential, commercial, and industrial segments. The portfolio includes TOPCon bifacial solar panels, high-performance inverters, durable batteries, and the Connect X monitoring application.

With its upcoming facilities, Luminous aims to drive local employment, enhance skill development, and support industrial growth in the region. The expansion aligns with India’s broader transition toward a low-carbon economy, with eastern India expected to play a significant role in advancing renewable energy adoption and energy security.
