Uttar Pradesh Advances Solar Energy With Major 450 MW Bundelkhand Solar Park Projects

The Uttar Pradesh government has approved solar parks in Bundelkhand, spanning over 1,500 hectares, to boost renewable energy. With an expected capacity of 450 MW, these parks will help the state achieve its goal of 22,000 MW of solar energy by 2026-2027, creating jobs and supporting clean energy initiatives. The land will be leased to private developers for 25 years to promote investment. As of August 2024, Uttar Pradeshโ€™s solar capacity stands at 3,280 MW, contributing to India’s renewable energy targets.

NTPC REL Invites Bids For 1,000 MW Solar PV Project In Mandsaur With Focus On Land And Power Infrastructure

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) is inviting bids for land and power evacuation for a 1,000 MW solar PV project in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. The scope includes securing land near the Mandsaur Pooling Substation, constructing access roads, ensuring grid connectivity, and installing a 33 kV pooling switchgear system. Bidders must meet technical and financial criteria, having completed similar projects. Bids must be submitted by September 11, 2024, with a Bid Security Declaration and Performance Bank Guarantee. NTPC REL reserves the right to cancel the process.

Vikram Solar Files DRHP For โ‚น1,500 Crore IPO To Boost Solar Manufacturing Capacity

Kolkata-based Vikram Solar Limited, a leading solar photo-voltaic module manufacturer in India, has filed its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI to raise funds through an initial public offering (IPO). With over 15 years of industry experience as of 31 March 2024, Vikram Solar aims for an IPO comprising fresh issues of shares up to โ‚น1,500 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 17.45 million equity shares by its promoter group. In consultation with the book-running lead manager, the company may also consider issuing specified securities up to โ‚น300 crore as a โ€œpre-IPO placement.

UP Regulatory Commission Approves 100 MW Renewable Power Procurement Agreement Between NPCL And SJVNL At โ‚น4.38/kWh

Noida Power Company Limited (NPCL) seeks approval for a 100 MW power sale agreement with SJVN Limited, entered in March 2024, to meet rising power demand and comply with Renewable Purchase Obligations. The agreement involves renewable energy and storage through the Inter-State Transmission System, lasting 25 years. Approved at โ‚น4.38/kWh, the agreement includes a 7 paise/kWh trading margin, reduced to โ‚น0.02/kWh without a secure payment mechanism. The regulatory commission approved the petition and urged NPCL to safeguard consumer interests in future agreements.

Google Partners With Cleanmax To Expand Clean Energy Capacity In India

Global technology leader Google announced a collaboration with Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions (CleanMax). Under this agreement, CleanMax will develop a 125.4 MW hybrid project, consisting of 66 MW of solar generation capacity in Rajasthan and 59.4 MW of wind generation capacity in Karnataka. These projects will be connected to the national grid of India and will support the decarbonization of Googleโ€™s cloud services and offices across India, aligning with Googleโ€™s goal to run on 24/7 carbon-free energy on every grid where it operates by 2030.

Adani Group And Google Collaborate To Boost Clean Energy In India

The Adani Group and Google have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing sustainability goals and increasing clean energy contributions to Indiaโ€™s power grid. Under this partnership, Adani will supply renewable energy from a new solar-wind hybrid project, part of the worldโ€™s largest renewable energy plant located in Khavda, Gujarat. The project is set to begin commercial operations by the third quarter of 2025.

Reliance Group Partners With Bhutanโ€™s Druk Holding For 500 MW Solar Project

Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Druk Holding and Investments Ltd (DHI), the commercial and investment arm of the Royal Government of Bhutan, to spearhead the development of significant solar and hydropower projects in the country. This collaboration aims to contribute to Bhutanโ€™s net-zero goals, while also exploring cutting-edge green technologies. Reliance Enterprises and Druk Holding have announced plans to develop a 500 MW solar power plant in Gelephu Mindfulness City, Bhutan. The project will be executed in two phases, with each phase delivering 250 MW of solar power. Once completed, this will become Bhutanโ€™s largest PV installation.
