Boviet Solar’s New Manufacturing Facility in North Carolina On Track

Boviet Solar Technology Co. Ltd. has announced that renovations for its new manufacturing facility in Greenville, Pitt County, North Carolina, are progressing on schedule.

Construction on Phase 1 began in Q3 2024, focusing on upgrading a 500,000-square-foot facility to produce high-performance Gamma Seriesโ„ข Monofacial and Vega Seriesโ„ข Bifacial PV modules for residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale use across the U.S. Mass production is slated for early H1 2025. ARCO/Murray is managing critical infrastructure and equipment installation. Phase 2, set to break ground in Q4 2024, will add a 600,000-square-foot facility to produce 2.0 GW of cutting-edge solar cell technology, further boosting solar efficiency and output.

ย Sienna Cen, President of Boviet Solar USA, said, “The completed facilities will produce 2.0 GW of solar modules and 2.0 GW of solar cells annually, significantly contributing to the U.S. solar supply chain and supporting the nation’s transition to clean energy. This project not only underscores North Carolina’s role as a leader in renewable energy but also creates significant economic opportunities for the local community.”
