ONNEX by SCG Smart Living Unveils EPC+ Business Model to Drive Solar Market Leadership and 1,000 MW Growth Target

ONNEX by SCG Smart Living opens its house to show its potential and readiness in the solar system work, sending out the EPC + BUSINESS MODEL plan to penetrate the solar market, aiming to become a leader, aiming to meet the needs of all important partner groups, both business groups and investors, expecting to build a business and expand the installed production capacity to grow by no less than 1,000 megawatts within 5 years.

Mr. Wachirachai Khunamwattana, Head of Living Solution Business, SCG Smart Living Business, said that ONNEX by SCG Smart Living has focused on innovation and services in the solar system continuously since 2011, starting with the production of electricity for use within various factories, which has resulted in energy savings of up to 40%. With its long experience, it is ready to respond to the demand in the solar market, which has grown very rapidly over the past 3-4 years, because the installation of solar systems is currently cheaper, while the cost of electricity remains high.

EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) services

For EPC+ Business Model, there are 5 basic formats:

  • EPC+F (Finance) is suitable for entrepreneurs who want to change the basic electrical system to install a solar system. In addition to the business using clean energy, entrepreneurs also benefit from electricity bill discounts of up to 40%. With this EPC+F plan, entrepreneurs do not have to invest themselves, but ONNEX will find investors for them.
  • EPC+D (Project Development) is suitable for investors who are large companies, institutions, funds that are interested in investing in solar projects but have no experience, no project team, or cannot find a suitable project. ONNEX will select projects that are consistent with the investment policy, project size, risks, and returns that will have the highest benefits for investors.
  • EPC+Alliance is a form of cooperation with EPC partners. The idea is to help the group of partners to have the best cost management potential in the purchasing system (Cost effectiveness). ONNEX has a plan to reduce the risk from the fluctuation of the prices of panels and various equipment in the solar system that must be imported from abroad in order to increase the potential for long-term competition. EPC+Alliance has begun operations and is open to business partners who have common interests at this time.
  • EPC+Authorized Referral is suitable for independent agents who have a potential customer network in the solar business. They can become Authorized Referrals to join the business and receive returns from the project.
