Leading solar developer X-Noor, a joint venture between global solar leader X-ELIO and GCC infrastructure group Dutco, presented its premium storage technologies and energy-efficient solutions at The Solar & Storage Live KSA 2024, recently held at the Riyadh Front Exhibitions and Conferences Center.
The event, which is the largest renewable energy exhibition in Saudi Arabia, attracted over 300 exhibitors, more than 150 speakers, and approximately 10,000 attendees from across the energy sector. Key stakeholders, including utilities, independent power producers (IPPs), financiers, government officials, and energy innovators, convened to discuss the region’s energy challenges and strategies for future-proofing its infrastructure.
X-Noor emphasized its commitment to advancing renewable energy in the region, showcasing solutions that align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the growing demand for electricity. The company highlighted its role as a premier provider of sustainable solar energy solutions.
Wasif Shaikh, Chief Technology Officer of X-Noor, participated in a panel discussion titled “Decarbonisation Pathways for the C&I Sector in KSA.” During his session, he discussed the factors driving solar photovoltaic (PV) adoption in the region and provided updates on regulatory frameworks supporting renewable energy for commercial and industrial customers. He underscored the significance of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and energy efficiency measures in achieving decarbonisation.
In addition to his presentation, Shaikh engaged in a panel on “Leading the Charge and Breaking Boundaries: The Intersection of Solar and Battery Technology in Driving Change,” alongside prominent industry leaders.
