Indian Railways Issues Tender For 7,835 kWp Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Plant In Rangiya Division

The Rangiya Division, under the Indian Railways, has issued an e-tender for the installation of a 7,835 kWp grid-connected rooftop solar power plant. This initiative, valued at โ‚น35.51 crore, includes the design, supply, installation, and maintenance of the solar system across residential buildings in the Rangiya Division. The solar panels, featuring monocrystalline PV modules, will be accompanied by a remote monitoring system and a cleaning mechanism to ensure optimal performance. The contractor will also maintain the system for five years post-commissioning.

The tender process employs a two-packet system with bidding scheduled to close on December 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM. The bid submission period begins on November 29, 2024. An Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of โ‚น19,25,700 is required, while no cost is associated with the tender document. The project must be completed within six months of award, adhering to the stipulated performance guarantees.

Technical specifications mandate a minimum 15% annual Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF). Any shortfall in generation will result in penalties, deducted from the Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG). The tenderer is expected to set up local service centers and provide real-time web-based monitoring for the solar installations. All equipment must conform to Indian Standards (IS) and relevant certifications.
