TotalEnergies ENEOS has successfully delivered a 2.2-megawatt-peak (MWp) solar rooftop system for PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres (Ceres), a leading chocolate confectionery manufacturer in Indonesia.

The installation features over 3,700 solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, producing approximately 3,250 megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable electricity annually. This will supply about 9% of the energy needs for Ceresโ€™ manufacturing facility in Bandung, Indonesia, while reducing its carbon footprint by an estimated 2,600 tons of CO2 emissions per year. The environmental impact is comparable to removing 560 cars from the road or planting more than 39,000 trees. โ€œWe are excited to take this significant step towards a more sustainable future. Solar energy, as a renewable resource, plays an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating climate change. PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres is proud to embark on this partnership with TotalEnergies ENEOS in achieving this sustainability milestone. This also marks an advancement in Indonesiaโ€™s target of reaching net zero emissions by 2060 or sooner,โ€ said Nancy Florencia, President Director of PT. Perusahaan Industri Ceres.

Under the agreement, TotalEnergies ENEOS financed, installed, and will manage the solar system, enabling Ceres to enjoy significant cost savings by paying only for the electricity generated over the next 15 yearsโ€”with no upfront investment required.
