Voltalia Secures EPC and O&M Contract for 135 MW Solar Plant in Spain

Voltalia has signed a contract with Green Arrow Capital to provide Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services, as well as Operation & Maintenance (O&M), for a 135-megawatt solar power plant in Seville, Andalusia.

Situated in the municipality of Sanlรบcar la Mayor, the solar plant will span 169 hectares and house 192,864 photovoltaic panels. Construction is set to begin in 2024, with full commissioning planned for 2025. Following its completion, Voltalia will oversee the plant’s operation and maintenance for a minimum of two years.

Green Arrow Capital, established in 2012 in Italy, is a prominent investor specializing in renewable energy and alternative investments across sectors such as energy infrastructure, private equity, private credit, and real estate. The firm is rapidly expanding its presence in Spainโ€™s renewable energy market.

Voltalia has been active in Spain for over 15 years, initially offering O&M services. Today, the company manages 775 megawatts of third-party contracts and is actively expanding its portfolio of photovoltaic and wind projects in the country. Its subsidiary, Helexia, focuses on self-consumption solar plants for industrial and commercial facilities, currently operating 51 photovoltaic installations with a combined capacity of 26.7 megawatts.

This agreement with Green Arrow Capital marks a significant milestone for Voltalia, signaling its return to large-scale construction projects in Spain. The company has been particularly active in the Spanish EPC market this year, aligning with its strategy to develop major solar projects for independent power producers (IPPs), investment funds, and utilities. โ€œWe are delighted with this first collaboration with Green Arrow Capital.
