The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Government of India enterprise, has issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a cutting-edge pilot project. The initiative, titled “T&D-Pilot Package GH2-01,” aims to establish a Solar PV-powered Green Hydrogen Plant and a Fuel Cell-based Microgrid system at the 400/220 kV Neemrana Sub-station in Rajasthan. The project includes a 10-year operation and maintenance (O&M) contract.
This pilot project forms part of POWERGRIDโs commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The scope of work encompasses design, engineering, manufacturing, construction, installation, integration, commissioning, and testing. It also includes obtaining statutory approvals, training, and providing mandatory spares.
The project will follow a single-stage, two-envelope bidding process under domestic competitive bidding (DCB) rules via POWERGRIDโs e-procurement portal. Interested bidders can download the bidding documents from POWERGRIDโs portal or the Government of Indiaโs Central Public Procurement Portal. The deadline for bid submission is December 28, 2024, with the technical bids set to open the same day.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled at POWERGRIDโs Gurugram office on December 11, 2024, to address bidder queries. Bidders are advised to complete registration on the e-tendering portal and ensure compliance with all submission guidelines.
This initiative underlines POWERGRIDโs focus on advancing renewable energy infrastructure, aligning with Indiaโs green energy goals. Further details are available on POWERGRIDโs website or through their dedicated contact channels.
