Waaree Energies Ltd. has achieved another milestone by securing NABL accreditation for its advanced PV Module Test Lab (PMTL) at its facility in Chikhli, Gujarat. This is Waaree’s second NABL accreditation, the first being for its Tumb manufacturing facility. The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), a globally recognized body, awarded this accreditation under the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards.

The accreditation highlights the lab’s competence in providing accurate and reliable results across over 48 testing parameters, including thermal cycling, damp heat, mechanical load, and potential-induced degradation. These tests ensure that Waaree’s solar modules meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and durability, making them suitable for diverse environmental conditions.

The PMTL is capable of performing various tests, such as design and safety qualifications, accelerated reliability and durability testing, and specialized testing in fields like biological, chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal.

Dr. Amit Paithankar, CEO of Waaree Energies, expressed pride in this achievement, stating that it would help reduce India’s reliance on foreign labs by certifying larger volumes of solar modules domestically. This step also supports India’s goal of becoming self-reliant in solar manufacturing and boosts the country’s transition to a cleaner energy future.

With this accreditation, Waaree is well-positioned to meet increasing international demand and expand its export capacity. This accomplishment underscores the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality solar solutions and strengthens its position as a global leader in solar technology. Waaree’s efforts align with India’s vision to become a global hub for solar manufacturing and export.
