Yellow Door Energy Celebrates Bahrain’s 53rd Independence Day with Commitment to Sustainable Future

As Bahrain celebrates its 53rd Independence Day, Yellow Door Energy, the leading sustainable energy partner for businesses across the Middle East and Africa, reaffirmed its dedication to supporting the Kingdom’s transformation over the past five decades. The company highlighted its significant role in advancing Bahrain’s renewable energy sector and its commitment to contributing to the Kingdom’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2060.

Renewable energy plays a pivotal role in Bahrain’s vision for sustainable economic development. Yellow Door Energy has been at the forefront of this transition, notably through its solar energy projects. One such partnership is with Seef Properties, where the company is helping power four shopping malls with solar energy, enabling businesses to reduce costs and carbon emissions while utilizing clean energy. Additionally, Yellow Door Energy offers power purchase agreements (PPAs), allowing businesses to transition to renewable energy without upfront investment, providing affordable and sustainable energy solutions.

Commenting on Bahrain’s progress, Mr. Yasser Haji, Business Development Officer at Yellow Door Energy, expressed pride in the Kingdom’s achievements over the past 53 years. “As a Bahraini citizen, I am honored to witness Bahrain’s transformation. The Kingdom’s progress is a testament to its vision for innovation and sustainable development. Bahrain’s commitment to green energy is an inspiring reality, and I am proud to contribute to this ambitious journey,” said Haji.

Yellow Door Energy has expanded its solar energy projects in Bahrain to 31 megawatts, adding to its global portfolio of 355 megawatts. This growth underscores the company’s strong commitment to supporting Bahrain’s renewable energy initiatives and helping the Kingdom achieve its sustainability targets.

In addition to its business efforts, Yellow Door Energy remains committed to social responsibility. The company supports Bahrain’s youth by partnering with “Injaz” to mentor local talent in the renewable energy sector. It also contributes to community development initiatives, such as supporting the Food Conservation Society during Ramadan. Notably, 45% of Yellow Door Energy’s workforce in Bahrain is composed of national employees, reflecting the company’s dedication to fostering local talent in the renewable energy industry.

With global sustainability efforts intensifying, particularly following the COP29 Climate Conference, Yellow Door Energy remains resolute in its mission to support Bahrain’s sustainability goals and contribute to the global energy transition.
