The UAE Embassy in the Republic of Serbia, in collaboration with the Youth Center and Cultural Center of Belgrade, organized a forum titled “Sustainability, Renewable Energy, and Smart Cities.” The event showcased the UAE’s ambitious initiatives and achievements in sustainable development and renewable energy, emphasizing its vision for a prosperous and sustainable future.
UAE’s Commitment to Sustainability
His Excellency Ahmed Hatem Al Menhali, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia, delivered a keynote address reaffirming the UAE’s dedication to sustainability goals aligned with global standards. He highlighted the UAE’s advancements in renewable energy, innovation, and sustainable development, which have bolstered the nation’s international standing in these fields.
“The UAE remains steadfast in its commitment to sustainability and smart city development, setting global benchmarks for innovation and environmental stewardship,” Al Menhali stated.
Highlighting Key Projects
The forum included a presentation by the UAE Embassy detailing the UAE’s renewable energy projects in Serbia and showcasing the country’s smart cities as global models for integrating technology, development, and sustainability.
Dr. Nataša Stanojević, an advisor at the Institute for International Politics and Economics in Serbia, contributed to the discussion by exploring the UAE’s economic innovation and sustainable urban development. Her presentation underscored the UAE’s continuous efforts in fostering environmental sustainability and urban advancements.
