Reventus Power Appoints Rasmus Wandrup as Chief Technical Officer

Global offshore wind investor and developer Reventus Power has named Rasmus Wandrup as its new Chief Technical Officer (CTO).

With over 20 years of experience in marine engineering and construction, Wandrup has held senior technical roles at Siemens Wind Power, Vattenfall, K2 Management, and Synera Renewable Energy. His career milestones include the delivery of Taiwanโ€™s 372 MW Formosa 2 offshore wind farm, awards for Formosa 4 and 6, and the successful operation of Formosa 1.

Wandrup also contributed to groundbreaking projects such as Scotlandโ€™s Hywind, the worldโ€™s first floating wind project (2009), and Hollandse Kust, the Netherlandsโ€™ first subsidy-free offshore wind farm. He trained at Denmarkโ€™s premier marine education institution, SIMAC.

As CTO, Wandrup will lead technical due diligence, engineering, construction, project delivery, and asset management for Reventus Powerโ€™s expanding offshore wind portfolio.Michael van der Heijden, Chief Executive Officer at Reventus Power, commented: โ€œBuilding on the foundations of a highly active 2024, Reventus Power continues to prioritise the recruitment of elite talent to further strengthen our in-house technical, financial, and commercial expertise. Reventus Power became CPP Investmentsโ€™ dedicated global offshore wind platform in April 2024, doubling its team size. Wandrupโ€™s appointment follows those of Michael van der Heijden as CEO and Jochen Froehlich as CFO.
