ADNEC Group, a Modon Company and global leader in managing strategic assets and events, has announced the signing of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Positive Zero, the Middle Eastโ€™s leading provider of decarbonization and energy transition solutions. The agreement, signed during the World Future Energy Summit at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, will enable the installation of a 5 Mega-Watt Peak (MWp) Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system on the centre’s roof.

The agreement was signed by Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, and Mohammed Abdulghaffar Hussain, Chairman of Positive Zero, and witnessed by key representatives from both organizations. Managed by Positive Zeroโ€™s Generation arm (SirajPower), the project will span 15 years and cover 21,620 square meters of roof space at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Once operational by year-end, the solar PV system will supply 30% of the centre’s annual electricity needs, reducing carbon emissions by nearly 6,000 metric tonnes annuallyโ€”the equivalent of powering 1,250 homes for a year.
