Strategic Partnership with Ditrolic Energy
The solar installations were developed in collaboration with Malaysia-based renewable energy company Ditrolic Energy. Under this partnership, Manila Water has equipped the Cardona Water Treatment Plant, East La Mesa Water Treatment Plant, and San Juan Compound with solar power systems.

Manila Water President and CEO Jose Victor Emmanuel A. de Dios emphasized the company’s long-term goal of increasing its solar capacity to 30 MWp, reinforcing its commitment to expanding renewable energy use across its operations.

The initiative is part of a 15-year power purchase agreement with Ditrolic Energy, signed in 2023, to integrate solar energy solutions into Manila Water’s infrastructure. Ditrolic Energy Group CEO Tham Chee Aun highlighted the seamless incorporation of clean energy into utility operations, underscoring the company’s dedication to supporting green investments.
