Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL), a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, has announced the receipt of a major order for a 125 MWAC (181.3 MWp DC) solar power project. The Letter of Award (LOA) was granted to a consortium of three companies, with WRTL being one of the members. This project involves engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and operation and maintenance on a turnkey basis.
The project, valued at approximately ₹740.06 crore (inclusive of taxes), is awarded by a domestic power distribution company. The work is scheduled to be completed within 18 months from the date of signing the contract. The consortium is yet to finalize the internal arrangements among its members.
This order highlights WRTL’s growing presence in India’s renewable energy sector. The company confirmed that there is no involvement of its promoter group in the entity awarding the order, and the contract does not fall under related party transactions.
The project is expected to boost WRTL’s portfolio and contribute towards India’s renewable energy goals by expanding solar capacity. The company remains committed to delivering quality solar solutions, ensuring timely execution, and supporting India’s clean energy transition.
