Sembcorp Signs 25-Year Renewable Energy Purchase Agreement with Malkoha

Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Solar Singapore Pte Ltd, has signed a 25-year Renewable Energy Purchase Agreement (REPA) with Malkoha Pte Ltd (Malkoha), a subsidiary of Meta Platforms, Inc. Under the REPA, Sembcorp will build, own, and operate an approximately 150MWp floating solar photovoltaic (PV) system on Kranji Reservoir in Singapore.

This PV system will support Meta’s operations with renewable energy in the region, including its data centre operations in Singapore. Subject to fulfilling the conditions under the REPA and obtaining the necessary approvals from the relevant authorities, construction of the floating solar farm is expected to commence in the first half of 2027.

The signing of the REPA is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings per share and net tangible assets per share of Sembcorp for the financial year ending December 31, 2025.
