Canadian Solar’s e-STORAGE to Launch SolBank 3.0 Plus at Intersolar Europe

Canadian Solar Inc.announced that e-STORAGE, a business unit of its majority-owned subsidiary CSI Solar Co., Ltd. (“CSI Solar”), will officially unveil its latest battery energy storage innovation—SolBank 3.0 Plus—at Intersolar Europe.

SolBank 3.0 Plus represents the next evolution in e-STORAGE’s proven SolBank product line. Building on the success of SolBank 3.0, this upgraded version integrates advanced enhancements in lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cell manufacturing to deliver superior performance and longevity. Key features include a 25-year lifespan, a near-zero degradation curve for the first four years, and up to 12,000 charge cycles with an industry-leading 95% round-trip efficiency. These improvements boost lifetime energy throughput by more than 13%, significantly lowering total operational costs for customers.

Safety and durability remain central to the SolBank 3.0 Plus design. The system incorporates an aerospace-grade, heat-resistant separator and upgraded electrical protection mechanisms to further strengthen its already strong safety record. Its newly optimized battery cooling system not only cuts auxiliary power consumption by up to 30%, but also operates with a reduced noise profile—delivering quieter performance compared to other systems in its class.

SolBank 3.0 Plus also introduces cell-level active balancing technology, enabling enhanced battery performance optimization, real-time operational health monitoring, and long-term reliability.
