Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH), a global leader in energy technology and the top supplier of microinverter-based solar and battery systems, has announced the launch of its new IQ® Energy Management system in France. The solution integrates with Enphase solar and battery setups to enable smart energy management of dynamic electricity rates and selected third-party devices, including electric vehicle (EV) chargers, heat pumps, and resistive electric water heaters.
The new system leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to manage key household energy loads efficiently, helping homeowners reduce electricity bills and maximize solar self-consumption. All controls are accessible through the user-friendly Enphase® App.
France is currently experiencing a rapid shift toward electrification. EV adoption has surged by 400% since 2020, and the government aims to produce one million new heat pumps by 2027. Additionally, around 15 million French homes—about 40%—use electric water heaters, which can account for up to 20% of residential energy use.
Enphase’s IQ Energy Management includes the IQ® Energy Router™ suite, offering compatibility with leading EV chargers, heat pumps, and electric water heaters. The product line is backed by a five-year warranty in France.
Installers across the country are already seeing strong potential in the system. Ludovic Vallée, general manager at Sun7, stated, “Enphase’s IQ Energy Management is a smart solution for managing key home appliances more efficiently. It helps our customers maximize their solar energy use by intelligently managing EV chargers, heat pumps, and water heaters, ultimately helping users lower their energy costs and boosting energy independence.”
Kevin Arteaga, manager at SAS Les Panneaux Solaires, echoed the sentiment: “As more homeowners in France turn to smart energy solutions, they’re looking for flexibility and savings. IQ Energy Management with the IQ Energy Router gives them the tools to better manage when and how they use electricity.”
Alexandre Sibut, co-manager at Activ’Environnement 38, added: “This is a major step forward for smart energy solutions for residential homes in France. With significant annual savings potential on electricity bills, IQ Energy Management helps our customers improve their self-consumption rate and optimize their solar investment.”
Sabbas Daniel, senior vice president of sales at Enphase Energy, concluded, “IQ Energy Management makes it possible to optimize electricity usage across key appliances using the Enphase App, driving savings, self-consumption, and energy resilience – all from one intelligent system. We’re proud to support homeowners in France with a smarter, more flexible approach to energy management.”
The launch underscores Enphase Energy’s commitment to delivering intelligent, future-ready energy solutions that empower consumers to take control of their power usage.
