The UP Energy Expo 2025 (UPEX 2025) wrapped up on a high note at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, marking a significant milestone in Uttar Pradesh’s journey toward renewable energy leadership. Organized jointly by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), FirstView Group, in collaboration with UPNEDA, Government of UP, the three-day event drew over 8,000 visitors and featured over 200 exhibitors showcasing breakthrough technologies in solar power, electric mobility, smart grids, and energy storage.

The inaugural ceremony was led by Uttar Pradesh’s Energy Minister, Shri A.K. Sharma, who underscored the state’s commitment to becoming self-reliant in solar energy and praised the event as a vital step aligned with the national ‘Make in India’ mission. Noting UP’s potential to lead the clean energy movement, he emphasized the role of initiatives like Ayodhya’s development as a model solar city and the ongoing solar projects across 16 municipal corporations.

Throughout the event, stakeholders from government, industry, and clean energy experts engaged in compelling panel discussions on topics such as solar EPC, electric vehicle infrastructure, agrivoltaics, and battery storage. Thought leaders, including Shri Deepak Raizada, Chief Engineer, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), Shri Yogesh Kumar, Commercial Director, Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (MVVNL), and Shri Ranjan Nair, Managing Director, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), emphasized the urgent need for investment in energy storage, efficient grid infrastructure, and electric transport networks to meet UP’s growing power demands and sustainability goals.
A standout session on agrivoltaics explored integrating solar generation with farming to boost farmer incomes, while deliberations on the PM-KUSUM and PM Surya Ghar schemes highlighted their transformative impact on rural energy access and green entrepreneurship.

The expo also served as a vibrant networking hub for entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and industry professionals, offering live demonstrations and real-time insights into renewable energy adoption across sectors.
