Waaree Solar Americas Inc., the wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, which is Indiaโ€™s largest manufacturer of solar PV modules, has announced the signing of a significant solar module supply agreement. The deal involves the supply of 586 megawatts (MW) of solar modules to a leading independent power producer based in the United States. Valued at approximately USD 176 million (around INR 1500 crore), this agreement marks an important milestone for Waaree as it continues to strengthen its presence in the rapidly growing U.S. solar market.

The solar modules will be produced at Waareeโ€™s advanced manufacturing facility located in Brookshire, Texas. Deliveries are planned to take place during the financial years 2026 and 2027 and will support four different solar projects. These modules will incorporate several components that are domestically produced in the United States, which complies with the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) requirements related to domestic content. This approach not only aligns with current U.S. energy policies but also contributes to building a resilient and reliable clean energy supply chain amid evolving trade regulations.

In a landscape marked by shifting trade dynamics and an increasing emphasis on domestic manufacturing, our Brookshire facility stands uniquely equipped to meet market demand with high-quality, U.S.-made modules. This milestone not only underscores global confidence in Waaree’s quality and reliability but also bolsters America’s energy transition, enhances job creation, and strengthens long-term energy security.”

He continued, “Our collaboration reflects a mutual commitment to advancing America’s energy security objectives through a resilient domestic supply chain, supported by Waaree’s extensive manufacturing expertise developed over decades in India. We are proud to contribute to our partner’s ambitious project pipeline with our high-performance solar modules.”

This partnership reflects Waareeโ€™s strategic focus on being a dependable global manufacturer of photovoltaic modules with a robust and adaptive supply chain. By minimizing exposure to trade uncertainties and ensuring consistent module availability, Waaree aims to support the growing energy demands in the U.S. The surge in energy consumption is partly driven by advancements in artificial intelligence infrastructure and industrial development. Through this agreement, Waaree reaffirms its commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable clean energy solutions that meet the needs of its clients and partners in the United States.
