JA Solar, a global leader in the photovoltaic industry, has been honored with the Top Green Innovation Award 2025 in Europe by EUPD Research. This recognition highlights the company’s dedication to sustainability through its innovative ITS Low Carbon (ITS LC) module series, which optimizes manufacturing and supply chains to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of solar modules without introducing new products, but rather enhancing its existing n-type product line, including the DeepBlue 4.0 Pro series.

“Our goal is always to deliver high-performance products with a lighter environmental footprint,” said Aiqing Yang, Executive President of JA Solar. “ITS LC reflects our long-term commitment to sustainable development and the resilience of our supply chain. We’re honored to see this work recognized by EUPD Research.”

The ITS LC initiative achieves up to a 40% reduction in carbon emissions compared to the standard production baseline in China, verified by a third-party ISO 14067 Life Cycle Assessment covering every major production stage from polysilicon sourcing to final module assembly. This milestone results from innovative material use—such as increased polysilicon from energy-efficient Fluidized Bed Reactor technology and recycled materials—and operational rigor, all supported by JA Solar’s vertically integrated manufacturing model that ensures tight control over quality, traceability, and sustainability performance across its supply chain.
