At the SNEC 18th (2025) International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition, LONGi announced two major technological breakthroughs. Its self-developed large-area (260.9 cmยฒ) crystalline siliconโ€“perovskite two-terminal tandem solar cell achieved a 33% conversion efficiency, certified by the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), setting a new global record. Meanwhile, its back-contact (BC) module surpassed 26% efficiency, with both achievements recognized in Version 66 of the Solar Cell Efficiency Tables, highlighting Chinaโ€™s continued advancement in photovoltaic technology.

At SNEC 2025, LONGiโ€™s crystalline siliconโ€“perovskite tandem solar cell reached a record-breaking 33% efficiency on a 260.9 cmยฒ area, marking the worldโ€™s first achievement of this level at mass-producible scale and signaling a major step toward lowering photovoltaic energy costs. At the same time, its back-contact (BC) modules achieved 26% efficiency, advancing crystalline silicon module performance closer to the 27% threshold. As a pioneer in the PV industry, LONGi has led innovation from popularizing monocrystalline technology to advancing perovskite and BC solar cells, supported by a comprehensive R\&D ecosystem across materials, equipment, and manufacturing.
