Azizi Group, a prominent Dubai-based multinational conglomerate, has announced the launch of Azizi Energy, a new venture dedicated to the development and delivery of power generation and energy infrastructure projects across emerging markets, with its initial focus on Afghanistan.
Operating under the trade name Azizi Energy Investments LLC, the venture represents Azizi Group’s strategic diversification into the global energy sector. Headquartered in Dubai, Azizi Energy will lead efforts in the development, financing, construction, and operation of energy projects spanning coal, gas, hydro, wind, and solar. The company also aims to develop essential infrastructure such as gas pipelines and electricity transmission networks.
Azizi Energy is set to address pressing global challenges in energy access by providing reliable and sustainable power solutions tailored to high-demand, underserved regions. The company plans to combine advanced technology with global energy expertise to promote long-term economic development, reduce reliance on imported electricity, and improve energy security in the countries where it operates.
Initial plans will begin in Afghanistan, where the company aims to contribute to a diversified energy generation mix totaling approximately 10,000 MW. This ambitious goal reflects Azizi Energy’s commitment to delivering transformative energy projects that can enable large-scale development and uplift local communities.

The new venture will be led by Korkut Öztürkmen, a seasoned energy executive with more than 30 years of international experience. His expertise spans both conventional and renewable power sectors, project development, and strategic leadership across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
