HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), met with HE Talal Yousef Fakhro, the newly appointed Consul General of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, during an introductory visit aimed at reinforcing bilateral cooperation.
Al Tayer congratulated Fakhro on his diplomatic appointment and expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of relations between the UAE and Bahrain. He highlighted DEWA’s commitment to expanding collaboration with Bahraini institutions, particularly in renewable and clean energy, smart grid technologies, innovation, and sustainability initiatives.
He also reaffirmed DEWA’s dedication to supporting diplomatic and consular missions in the UAE and facilitating avenues for knowledge exchange and partnership.
Fakhro commended DEWA’s global achievements and leadership in the energy and water sectors. He expressed Bahrain’s interest in enhancing cooperation with DEWA and deepening joint efforts in areas of shared strategic importance, including innovation, energy transition, and sustainable development.
