The Uttar Pradesh Renewable Energy Summit and Expo 2025 recently took place at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow. The event was organized by the Centre for Agricultural and Rural Development with support from the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. A central highlight of the summit was the announcement of a partnership between UPNEDA and KLK Ventures, aimed at expanding renewable energy access across the state, with a particular focus on rural and underserved regions.

During the opening address, Dr. Arindam Roy emphasized the importance of adopting innovative technologies and collaborative efforts to make Uttar Pradesh self-reliant in energy. The summit covered a wide range of renewable energy topics, including the development of solar energy, bioenergy, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and key government initiatives such as the PM-KUSUM scheme and rooftop solar policies.

Akshat Jain, CEO, KLK Ventures, stated, โ€œWe are proud to partner with UPNEDA and the Government of Uttar Pradesh in advancing clean energy access across the state. Our goal is not just to provide solar solutions, but to empower rural communities with reliable, sustainable energy systems. Through this collaboration, weโ€™re investing in the future of Uttar Pradeshโ€”where innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability go hand in hand.โ€

KLK Ventures, known for its solar-powered products and systems, has already made substantial contributions within the state. The company has installed over 50,000 solar street lights, mini power plants, and battery storage units. Building on this progress, KLK Ventures and UPNEDA are also introducing training programs and sustainable service delivery models through their partnership.

These initiatives are designed to ensure long-term benefits and empower local communities. This collaboration supports the stateโ€™s broader renewable energy goals, including the complete solarization of agricultural irrigation systems by 2027. It also aligns with Uttar Pradeshโ€™s larger vision of achieving a carbon-neutral environment through the integration of hydrogen energy, hydropower, and other decentralized clean energy systems.
