The Solar & Storage Confex 2025 – Rajasthan concluded on a high note on June 20 at The Lalit, Jaipur, further cementing the state’s leadership in India’s clean energy transition. The conference brought together over 300 participants, including top policymakers, government officials, industry leaders, and technology experts for a day of high-level dialogue and networking.

The event was graced by Dr. K. L. Jain, President of the Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as Guest of Honor. It opened with key insights from Mr. Varun Gulati, CEO, FirstView; Mr. Nitin Agarwal, CEO, Rajasthan Solar Association; and Mr. Vipin Kasana, Specialist – Residential Inverters (RT & RS), Sungrow, the event’s Presenting Partner.

The event featured impactful panel sessions that explored Rajasthan’s growing utility-scale and C&I solar opportunities, along with emerging models tailored to the state’s dynamic energy landscape. Discussions also focused on integrating energy storage to enhance grid stability and support Rajasthan’s journey toward net-zero goals.

Adding to the discussion, a senior government official remarked “Rajasthan is not only contributing 90 GW of solar and 25 GW of wind power toward India’s 500 GW renewable energy target, but is also becoming the backbone of delivering clean energy across the country. The state has built 99,432 MVA of EHT substation capacity and over 44,638 km of transmission lines. Under Green Energy Corridor Phase 1, 100% of intra-state substations and 93% of transmission lines are already completed. Phase 2 will add another 10,750 Ckm and 27,500 MVA. With real-time monitoring and forecasting enabled through STNAMS, Rajasthan is helping build India’s transmission backbone.”

A key moment of the day was the visionary keynote address by Mr. Shardul Kothari, Environment Advisor to the Government of Rajasthan, who outlined the state’s ambitious renewable roadmap and reinforced its strategic leadership in achieving India’s 2030 clean energy targets.

The day concluded with a new addition to the event series – Sundowner Rajasthan – a dazzling awards evening that combined celebration and connection. Designed to Celebrate Excellence, Raise a Toast and Grow Your Network., the evening played host to the prestigious Rajasthan Energy Excellence Awards, recognizing trailblazing achievements across the solar and storage ecosystem.
