AMEA Power is set to transform the renewable energy landscape in Côte d’Ivoire with its 50 MW Solar PV project in Bondoukou, currently under construction. Upon commissioning, it will mark the company’s first operational asset in the country.
The project is expected to generate 85 GWh of clean energy annually, provide electricity to over 358,000 households, and offset more than 52,000 tons of CO₂ emissions each year.
With a total investment of US$60 million, the Bondoukou solar project is financed by FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, and DEG, supporting Côte d’Ivoire’s national goal of achieving 45% renewable energy by 2030.
This initiative underscores AMEA Power’s commitment to delivering clean and affordable energy across Africa, contributing to sustainable development and climate change mitigation.
