FTC Solar, Inc., a leading provider of solar tracker systems, has announced a major agreement with Levona Renewables to supply solar trackers and performance-enhancing software for one gigawatt of solar projects, beginning in early 2026. This collaboration marks a significant step in advancing large-scale renewable energy development in the United States and demonstrates FTC Solarโs continued role as a technology partner for utility-scale projects.
The first project under the agreement will be CT Solar One, a 140-megawatt utility-scale facility located in Snyder, Texas. The project is planned on 478 acres of land within a larger 27,000-acre site and is scheduled to begin construction in early 2026. Following this, two additional projects, CT Solar Two and CT Solar Three, are expected to add approximately 650 megawatts of capacity to the same site, contributing significantly to the overall development plan.
These projects will integrate FTC Solarโs Pioneer 1P solar tracker technology, which offers advanced design for efficiency and reliability, along with its SunPath software. The software is engineered to enhance energy yield through optimized terrain-based backtracking and diffuse light optimization, ensuring improved performance across varying site conditions. Together, the technology and software are expected to maximize generation potential and long-term value for Levonaโs portfolio.
Fernando Queiroz, Chief Executive Officer of Levona Renewables, stated, โFTC Solar has performed like an extension of our team, adding significant value to our development even before delivering a single product to site. Leveraging their development backgrounds and tracker expertise, the FTC team has found multiple ways to optimize our site, including for location, layout, row efficiency, and energy yield, while avoiding civil costs. With an easily constructible tracker and a team willing to go above and beyond and support us with everything from engineering support to safe harbor strategy, we found FTC Solar to be the best partner for us on these projects.โ
Yann Brant, CEO of FTC Solar mentioned, โWeโre very pleased to be selected by Levona to support this landmark development. At FTC Solar, we now have the most robust product offering in our history to support customers, from high-wind, terrain-following, and the largest range of stow in the industry, to performance and yield-enhancing software and attentive customer service. We look forward to supporting Levona and all of our customers in optimizing each individual project site for years to come.โ
This agreement highlights FTC Solarโs ability to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the needs of large-scale renewable energy developers. For Levona Renewables, the partnership provides a trusted technology platform to drive the success of its expanding pipeline of utility-scale projects in Texas and beyond. With construction of CT Solar One set to begin in early 2026 and subsequent projects to follow, the collaboration between FTC Solar and Levona Renewables underscores the growing importance of advanced solar tracking systems and smart software in ensuring higher efficiency and returns for the renewable energy sector.
