Jackery, a global leader in solar generators and off-grid energy solutions, today announced the launch of the Jackery Explorer 240D, a new DC-only portable power station designed for users who need reliable power on the go. The Explorer 240D is created to deliver lightweight, portable energy for outdoor activities, road trips, and daily device charging needs.

The Explorer 240D is about 70 percent smaller and 46 percent lighter than comparable AC power stations, making it highly portable and easy to carry during camping trips, photography outings, or other light outdoor activities. The device follows Jackeryโ€™s โ€œPack Light, Power Moreโ€ philosophy, providing significant power without the burden of a heavy device. It includes a 2-in-1 handle and charging cable, which can also be used as a strap for easy carrying, along with a 140-watt USB-C cable to quickly charge high-power devices such as laptops.

One of the main advantages of the Explorer 240D is its pure DC output, which allows devices to charge directly without converting power from AC. This results in more efficient energy use and seamless charging for a wide range of electronic devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, cameras, and drones. The 140-watt USB-C port supports even high-power devices like MacBooks, making the unit a practical grab-and-go solution for users who need reliable power while traveling, camping, or working outdoors.

The Explorer 240D is equipped with a 256Wh (80,000mAh) battery and four USB ports, including three USB-C ports and one USB-A port, allowing users to charge up to four devices simultaneously. Its pure DC output provides 200 watts of power, with one port capable of delivering ultra-fast 140-watt charging. The device uses Next-Gen Heat LFP cells, which offer a long lifespan of over 6,000 charge cycles and can maintain at least 70 percent of their capacity after ten years. It is designed to operate in a wide range of temperatures, from minus 20 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius.

The Explorer 240D can reach 80 percent charge in one hour when using a combination of solar and USB-C inputs, and it can be fully charged in 3.5 hours using a USB-C or car charging cable. It is ideal for charging mobile devices, cameras, drones, and small camping equipment such as lights, fans, and portable refrigerators. It also serves as a reliable backup for essential digital devices during power outages. The Jackery Explorer 240D is available now on Amazon, with an early-bird price starting at $169.99.
