In a statement issued today, New Murabba said the agreement will allow both organizations to examine how internationally recognized sustainability standards, including LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), can be integrated across the development. The discussions will focus on advanced frameworks such as LEED v5 and LEED for Communities and the adoption of global best practices in design, construction and operations.

The partnership will also cover knowledge exchange, training programs, sustainable community development, and alignment with international environmental benchmarks. As part of the collaboration, New Murabba has become a Platinum member of USGBC, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability leadership.

Eissa Almunif, Chief Business Excellence Officer at New Murabba, said the MoU marks a significant step in the company’s sustainability journey. “Working with the US Green Building Council allows us to explore how global best practices can shape the future of New Murabba. Our aim is to create a destination that places people, the planet, and long-term prosperity at its center,” he said.
